Real-time information at bus stops

24-05-2010
Real-time information at bus stops The real-time display system on city bus shelters is owned and operated by Dundee City Council.

We have been advised that an electrical fault has been discovered on a number of these shelters. In the interest of public safety, power has been switched off at all bus shelters out of the city centre and at Ninewells hospital.

A long term solution has been identified by the council and work on modifying every shelter is expected to commence on 14 June. They plan to have the majority of shelters switched back on by the end of July.

We will issue updates on this as we receive them from the Council.

It is appreciated that passengers find real-time information to be invaluable and we will continue to supply data from all our buses to Dundee City Council although for the next few weeks it will only be the screens at city centre stops and Ninewells that are operational.
